A Male Gauge To Middle Age.

It may be hormonal, may be chronological,
based on stress or society, difficult to gauge.
It turns sane blokes to weird abnormal,
that male crisis, that arrives around mid age.

So if you fantasize, it gets you enlightened,
tuned all quick and easily, into what to like.
It seems your image must be brightened,
with dolly birdies, and the Harley motor bike.

Tops to be unbuttoned, to appear bare-chested,
heavy chains and jewellery, in excessive gold.
Age needs to allure any female interested,
one final hurrah, then wild stories to be told.

It must be Jack Daniels, forget Fourex beer,
blow dry hair or toupee, facial hair to match.
Shielas called `honey', answer not to `dear',
good times are scarce, women difficult to catch.

You must be sensitive, that is an essential,
focus on trends and company to belie your age.
Appears to dollies, such ways are influential,
confuses tiny minds, but lets wanton bodies rage.

You rove unrepentant and now profess you enjoy,
charms of babes and booze, and Harley Davidson.
Romance is in recession, motorcycle's just a toy,
way past your `use-by'… you're not fooling anyone.

G,day Bernie,
Hit the nail on the head there mate with a few blokes I know of, a good read.
As for myself I can relate only to the motorbike bit, (glad I have a Yamaha though).
 Well done mate,

G'day Ron,
Don't reckon you ever outgrow the motor cycle fixation...but the Harley would be extremely low on my list of preference...also the world is full of non-attentive none too capable automobile drivers and one could be led to consider it possible most live in Queensland...
                                                   Cheers Mate,
                                                                 Bernie.

Bernie
If most of the non-attentive, none too capable drivers live over in queensland, you must find it a nightmare out on the road - we have more than enough on our roads over here to give one a headache!!!!  Grin  Grin  Grin

You have described 'male menopause' Bernie!!! Used to be said that only women suffer from menopause, but very definitely, it affects the male species as well!!

It certainly affects the male species if you are married to someone who is going through it!

Thanks Kym,
Unfortunately the hat and last name are the only thing "me" in that photo, my best mate Jack at about 7 months, ain't he a pearler?

Hope all is well with you,
Ross.
