Bush Poets Merv and Chris Webster aka Chris & The GreyMulti award winning Bush Poets and six time finalists at the Bush Laureate Awards, Merv and Chris present their Laughter and Tears from the Bush Show featuring bush verse, ballads and yarns. Merv won the Lyrics Only section of the Katherine Country Music Musters Northern Territory Country Music Song Writing Awards back to back in 2005 and 2006. He also has taken out seven of the eleven nominations and won back to back the Lyrics Only section of the T.S.A. National country Music song Writing Awards in 2006 and 2007.
Bush Poet Reg PhillipsReg Phillips was raised under a gum tree in the ovens valley where he grew up on cold porridge sandwiches and rabbit stew. He mostly recites his own material and loves to weave a story around his poetry with songs and yarns to paint a picture in the minds of his audience. He has compered poets breakfasts at both Victorian and Australian Bush Poetry Championships and entertains as a Country singer, Yarn spinner and all round "BullDust Artist". at many Festivals.
Bush Poet Ron LiekefeetAustralian Champion Male Bush Poet in 2005 Ron Liekefeet has won a number of awards for his performance and written poetry and these days acts as a judge at various bush poetry festivals. Ron also enjoys performing at Nursing Homes and for various Service Groups.
Bush Balladeers Brooks and MageeDenise and Bobby have been performing regularly on the local Country Music circuit since 1999 as a members of the Wide Bay branch of the ACMA (Australasian Country Music Association). Between March and September 2003, Denise has competed in 5 Festivals winning vocal awards at all including 2 firsts in Female Bush Ballad and 1 Overall Bush Ballad. The highlight of the year was becoming the Emerald Gems of Country Overall Winner singing the Stan Coster Bush Ballad - "Just A Little Girthy". Denise received the Encouragment Award at the 2007 Bungendore Festival.
