Yes I do.  Wink

Why are your Forum Members so "out there", where do you assemble? all that talent, that's not an issue. It's a complaint.

You and your fellow travellers have been so very kind to "Boofhead", my poems are like my photos, somewhat blurry. You have no idea how many of the members poems I have perused and admired, I am guilty of plagerising (some) words, but never their thoughts.

So to issues; ANZAC DAY, BRUNSWICK HEADS NSW, "COFFEE AND RUM", SOME PRAYERS, SOME TEARS AND A MARCH AROUND THE BLOCK. I'll bet all of you guys gave your thoughts to our departed Aussies and Kiwi's.

Well this 'older' bloke read a poem, I missed his name, boy was it good, if I can track him down, and if he is agreeable can I relate it in ABP?

Secondly do you have a "naughty page"? I have a poem about my Surf Club days, it has all the 'LINGUA FRANCA' one would expect from real life. It is atypical and has many 'spoken words'. It is risky more than risque.  Embarrassed

I await your reply, regards john f.

John,
To answer your questions. (with my answers)
We don't meet as a group except on websites. But there are groups in many places. We have one in Wollongong and there is a big group at Gosford.
However, I am about to fly up to Mackay to attend a music festival "Wintermoon" where they have poets breakfasts and I will meet Therese for the first time.
I also attend several other festivals through the year and have met many of the poets whos' work appear on computer sites. Some on this site and some on the official Australian Bush Poets Assn site abpa.org.au I am also active on that site. There is a large group of poets who make a living from performing.
No we do not have an Adults only rated page because we hope to encourage all age groups and sections of the community to read and contribute to this site. Hope this helps.

G'day Johnno,
well, there you have it Mate...bit restrictive for we "Vulgar Colonials",
having to use only the pristine portion of our expressive vocabulary but we must
constantly be aware, that the internet in general, the electronic media,  the daytime
movies, and the school playground, do nothing to prostrate or compromise the cause of morality. Also
bear in mind the possibility 'Henry' was perhaps in no way involved in providing a piece of narrative
concerning an illegitimate bloke from the backblocks...
Having said this, I do, however, agree that the policy of isolation from gross
profanity and abject sensuality in the case of minors does have extreme validity and
consequently brokers my unquestioned support. I do not, however, agree with the suppression
of reality...no matter how unpalatable it may appear...reality, is a part of life...
Censorship, like any form of regimented suppression, is always an extremely 'grey area'...
the pendulum ever seems prone to be deflected to the extremes, denying the desired common ground...
Herein lies a problem, with many now generally accepted types of expression, previously rated as culturally uncouth, frowned upon in some circles, though freely in general use...

Ric Raftis, our benevolent host here has set the rules...and runs the proverbial 'tight ship'...
Ric's rules are the house rules...and his, is the final and reasonable say...

Mate, you'll get used to the restriction, push the boundaries as much, and as far, as possible, and in times of frustration, journey to arenas more expansive, for some form of more expressive 'R&R'...I did, and find this latter option a personal neccessity at times...
Overall though, this is one of the finest 'poetry' sites anywhere...equipped with the most genuine people, not the cardboard replicas so often found...
It is one place that calls you back...

Now, what precisely is 'poetry'?...I haven't a bloody clue!
                                                                                regards,
                                                                                         Bernie...

Thanks ZONDRAE, THANKS BERNIE,

Point taken and taken well, no probs', and I was not being testy. One can do without "iffy" vernacular.

So, to show my respect I am gonna' rework ROW YA --------, ROW, the reader can fill in the blanks.

It's always good to hold a conversation without awefull adjectives, "the spoken word" analogy leaves a lot to be desired, I stand rectified and humbled, AVAGOODAY, JOHN F.  Roll Eyes

ps; OH YEAH, that stuff about something "you have extended your CYBER SPACE", WAS NOTED, had no idea, YOU PAY THE BILLS RIC?
