The Adam Lindsay Gordon Commemorative Committee Inc. are pleased to announce the launch of this year's poetry competition as part of The Fellowship of Australian Writers National Literary awards, 2008:-
PART A- Open Professional Section-eligible to poets 17 years and above. Sponsored by Susan Pender,
Prize a cold cast bronze statue of an Arabian horse.
PART B- Open Section for unpublished poets aged 17 years and above. Sponsored by Dingley Dell Cottage and Museum. Prize $300.
PART C- Student Section for students aged 12 – 16 inclusive. Sponsored by The Adam Lindsay Gordon Commemorative Committee Inc. Prize $200.
Second Prize in all sections will be a copy of Gordon of Dingley Dell; "Poet and Horseman” by Lorraine Day, kindly provided by the author, Lorraine Day.

Results 2008 National Literary Awards
Conducted by The Fellowship of Australian Writers.
PART A:  P.S. Cottier for "Swimming at Flemington"  (ACT)
PART B:  Merrilyn Crabbe for "Policeman, Horseman, Politician and Friend".(VIC)
PART C:  Jack Burnham for "A.L.G. Reqiescat in Pace"  (QLD)
