Touche! Hey Jim, Kamahl is not really my style, mind you I would sooner listen to him than Jimmy! Dancing is not really my thing either, I played the drums in a country rock band for about 15 years or so, never got too much time for dancing. I have been to a few live shows, Slim, John Williamson, Eric Bogle and the Wolverines, to name a few, I knew Big Jim Hermal and the blokes in his band 'The stone mountain band' back in the seventies, they weren't a real big name, but they did go overseas. I met Jack Jones at a film shoot for a Quantas ad and at the same place met one of Len Beadells' daughters who happened to be playing in the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra at the same film shoot. We are also quite friendly with Warren Williams and his partner So that is about as close to name dropping as I can get! oh yeah, there is one more mob a mate and I came across in a dive in Adelaide once, she was a smokey dark dingy joint with a lot of people who looked like they had trouble getting their feet back on the ground, and the air reminded me of the days we had to burn paddy melon vines on the farm, the band had not been heard of at that stage, they were "Redgum' who of course a few years later became quite well known. All in all it is a pretty small world really, and generally famous or semi famous people are still just people, some good at what they do, some not so good, and the whole thing is really just one blokes opinion compared to anothers'! Oh yeah Jim, I went to the Gympie muster about 5 years back, sunny bloody Queensland my bum! rained the whole time we were over there! Off bush for a couple of days tomorrow, talk again later!
