G/Day,
I may be talking rubbish here, but is it possible to post by Email?
At the moment I'm typing in my posts which is fine if it's short.
But when you type like me it's hard work if you want to post a
reasonable sized poem. Can anyone help a computer illiterate to sort
something out, I'd be most appreciative of any help. Better work on the theory
That I know nothing about these things.
Cheers Terry

Hi Terry
I take it your poems are already typed up if you are wanting to email them?
If so, all you need to do is to copy and paste.

I will take you literally, and presume that you don't know how to cut and paste - if you do, ignore my waffle!!!  Grin

Open the 'posting' box, as well as have your poem open.
Go to your poem first.
Highlight it by clicking and holding the left hand mouse button at the top of your poem, keep the mouse button held down, and move the mouse down to the bottom of your poem. When you have the entire poem 'highlighted' (this will show as black shading over the words), release the mouse button.
Click the right hand button on the mouse, go down to 'copy', (you will see each word highlighted as you move over it), then click the left hand mouse button - that will copy your poem

Now go back to your posting box.
Put the flashing cursor at the point where you want to insert your poem
Click on the right hand mouse button, go to 'paste' and click the left hand button.
Voila!!!!!  Shocked There is your poem all typed out.

You can add any comments, etc you want to.
Hope this helps (or maybe you already know all of that, but you did say to work on the theory that you know nothing about it!!   Grin

Give us a yodel if you have any more problems.

G/day Irene,
Thanks a million for that, as soon as I get back from the garage I give it a whirl.(My air cons on the blink)
You presumed right Irene I can muddle through most things if given time but have struggled with this one
Poor old Andy at the other site has tried to help me over the phone but I still seem to stumble at the last hurdle the next time I try by myself.
Yes the poems are all ready to go so to speak, even on the other site I can get them saved as text etc. but still seem to come to grief during the Cut & Paste bit. This time thanks to you I have written instructions how can I possibly go wrong. (mind you if there's a way to I'll probably find it)

Cheers and thanks again,

Terry

Great advice Irene,

We sometimes forget how we acquire knowledge and often presume others 'know' everything we do.
One slight warning Terry, make sure you 'click' on copy NOT cut.  ... and the curser should be somewhere ON the highlighted section to use the right mouse button commands.

Hi Zenie,
I don't know If I'm the best one to try and explain this but I will give you a rough idea of what we're talking about and perhaps Zondrae Or Irene can explain the finer points.
When I first asked this question I was referring to posting a poem or anything else for that matter on this site without having to laboriously type it out directly onto the site.
If you have a poem already on your computer you can transfer it to this site direct from your computer using the copy and paste technique.
If you need more information ask either of the Zondrae or Irene if they can help.

Hope this Has been of some help for you,

Regards Terry
