G.day all,

Tonight 8pm (EST) ABC1, a poetry special event Bush Slam with Carol Heuchan, and others. I don't know much about it, I saw the promo yesterday. Should be well worth a look. TONIGHT

G'day,
Sorry I'm a bit late for this week but you know well in advance for next time. 

I hope you are all aware of this programme on the ABC. Each week two poets are taken by HG Nelson to on outback town and they spend 3 days getting to know the town. Then they write and perform a poem for the townsfolk who vote to select the winner. So far, each week they have had a 'rhyme and metre' man (or lady) and a non rhymer. Of the three weeks, so far, the non rhymer has won twice!

I have noticed that even the free or blank verse writer, or as it was in one case, rap artist, manage to slip a rhyme in there now and again. Carol Heuchan won her slam. Good on you Carol. I missed last week when James Blundell was on.
