Toolangi Festival Competition

News from this Festival that is held to celebrate CJ Dennis.

There were several categories.
In the 'Birds of the Singing Gardens' cat. I was awarded 2nd place for "A New Beginning"
In the 'Adults writing for children' cat. I was given an Honourable mention for "The Cat From Down The Swamp"

Both not exactly a win... but as Kym reminded me..... it was not long ago that I took a two page advert in the local paper if I received an encouragement award.  So thank you judges and teachers.. and thank you all competition organisers and workers.

Zondrae, Zondrae, what's this 'not exactly a win' thing?  Second place is definitely a win, well done.   

Sworn to secrecy until now hey. Suspected you might have been when you didn't mention Toolangi in a previous post that I made about it.  Me too, got a couple of honourable mentions I believe, but was asked not to mention it until after the ceremony.  I haven't received my certificates yet so I'm only going on what I was told in a phone call.  But a second place for you, that definitely deserves a WooHoo.  Silver Zondrae, silver.
