Hello friends,

I have not been popping into this site lately. All my spare time has been taken up with learning and practising the Ukulele. The band I play with are getting lots of bookings to play for old folks homes, other charity events, and we even played on the 2nd stage at the Illawarra Folk Festival. We get lots of bookings, not only because we are very entertaining  (note I didn't say good) but also as we play for the love of it. Tomorrow I am going on a bus trip with the group to the Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival. We will be able to see how we compare with other groups. I might even take my video camera and tape some of them.

In any case, I have not forgotten you all. Thank you to Kate wo sent a poem through to Tony last week.
The topic this week, a cute one, "when I was ten". I'll try to remember to check for poems but to be sure, if you write a poem you can email it to me. The computer automatically checks for mail and lets me know if there is any..  I'm sure you all have my email address but just in case. it is all one word, all lower case, without and spaces or underscoring.
