Hi John,

How did you enjoy Tamworth? Will we see you at the National? (and Bronnie?) I often notice that you are online the same time as I am but you haven't had much to say lately. Have you been doing any writing?

G'day Zondrae

I really enjoyed Tamworth. It was great to meet so many of the other poets, particularly those that are members of this forum. I had a go at the walk-ups on the Monday and the Wednesday and competed in both the established and the original sections of the performance competition on Friday. I was pretty happy with the performances that I put in in the competition, but did not make it any further than the heats.

I am keen to visit the National in Canberra again this year and it looks like Mum will possibly come across for a look, so the two of you should hopefully be able to catch up.

In the last year, I concentrated more on performing than on writing, so the output of poems was down to about 6 for the year (as opposed to 13 in 2005). Even though I didn't finish many in the last year, I have plenty of unfinished works to work on for the future months. Hoping to get my poem for the Jack Riley in Corryong finished by early next week so that I can enter it in this year's competition.

Hope you and your family are well.

Regards
