Keith
Your photo worked.
Looks like you will have to include this site to include a daily poetry writing.
Bernie is the most prolific poster of poems, so maybe you can try and catch him!!  Grin

I'd love to be able to spend more time writing, but it will have to wait 'til I retire (sometime down the track!!)
And I have yet to learn the art of writing of just sitting and consciously deciding to write a poem. Mine are ones that just, out of the blue, start somewhere in my head and won't go away until I do it. I find I can't just decide to write a poem about a certain subject as it doesn't come out how I want it to.
One day when I am not doing a couple of jobs I may get organised enough to set time aside on a regular basis to write (I can dream of that day!!)

Training hard, day and night,
practice making scones just right.
trying out old wives tricks,
to come up with the perfect mix.

flo's famous recipe i exalt,
sugar, butter, eggs and salt.
boil the pumpkin half an hour,
and mix it in before the flour.

seventeen scones to the tray,
bake in oven, that's the way.
then, when you smell the sweet perfume,
you know they're ready to consume.

^ i love it ^  and im a bit jealous that you can manage scones.  i've had a few abysmal attempts, but unfortunately i never inherited the skill that my grandmother had with them.  im sure i must be a great disappointment in that department   Grin

Keith,
May I suggest that you start a new topic for each poem. Otherwise we will never get to the end of this topic and it will be too hard to find a poem when we wish to re-read one.

Thanks Ric, I take my responsibilities very seriously but only in relation to 'toys' and 'drugs' and 'videos'. Grin Roll Eyes

Hi Therese, I got a couple of tips from the mother in law, that seemed to work pretty well, so I just keep
doing as she said and they turn out yummy every time.

G'day Kieth,
It is a good photo hey? it has been around awhile though, I had it sent to me from two different sources a few days apart some time ago. It is amazing how quickly and how far these things go in cyberspace!

Hey Ross ( i noticed that Ric pointed out that the first letter was missing from some
or all signiatures on the new [before my time] format ), so your signiature is coming
out as oss at the moment, don't know if you noticed but anyway mate, i got that email
in November 2005 and liked it so i filed it away and dragged it out on Australia day
this year. i don't know wether it's a "real" photo or wether it has been touched up,
whatever happened it is a beauty alright.
