G'day Val,

The bush telegraph tells me that Carol Heuchen was the successful Ladies Champ and Terry Regan won the Mens Champ., just beating Greg North by a whisker.

And our own Pamela Fox picked up three seconds.  On ya girl !

Three second places that is, didn't mean she got three seconds faster.

...

Geese this Terry Regan bloke must be good to beat Greg North. Congratulations to the winners of all sections. Also to all the runners up. I have seen both Carol and Greg perform. They are so polished and can be sooo very funny. Anyone who comes within cooee of either of them deserves accolades.

I stayed in a house with Carol and Greg (and Frank and Anita and a few other blow-throughs) when I went to Tamworth - I feel so famous!  Carol and Greg are both such lovely people!
