Firstly, thanks to Peeley and Manfred for their suggestions about rewriting a piece I am not happy with. The PMs were most helpful.
Secondly, to share their tips, - I now have two modes of attack. John has shown me a way to analise the metric feet and Manfred suggested starting by paraphrasing each line and see where I go. (well not in those words but that's where I am now.)
I really want this poem to be the best I can make it as the subject is (as they often are) close to my heart.
I have been working on it since last June.
We have a new lurker, who I see has registered, 'tomchap', come on in and meet us all. Like the mob that go to festivals, the core computer mob are a great bunch.
