         “Merely a pebble…”

How like that pebble, skipped upon the stagnant pool,
fate’s flotsam ruffles life’s surface but for a moment.
The ripples spreading alike for both wise man or fool,
turbulence stills to stagnancy, earthly time now spent.

The pebble disappears, though a stolid surface dwells,
ripples are but transient, they and the stone soon gone.
Soon of path or passage, no change remains that tells,
the world like fate the thrower, unconcerned, moves on.

G'day Bernie,
Jeez mate, you just keep getting deeper and deeper don't you?

'bout time we all realised that we are small fish in a big pond I reckon, seems to me too many people who think they speak for the rest are just people with their own barrow to push!.......................and I am not refering to politicians!

G'day Ross,
very windy and rainy here of late...makes for deep thinking indoors.

Reckon the basics of good politics and like society might be being up front on agenda, freely admitting to being on the wrong track when it becomes apparent and taking responsibility for the consequence of actions...but then again life wasn't meant to be easy...
                                            Cheers old Mate,
                                                                    Bernie.

G'day Hully,
thanks for the kind comment, I've been enjoying your fine writing as always...envy the way you get 'round and about...admire the way you keep your eyes open and appreciate what escapes so many...
                                                               Cheers Mate,
                                                                      Keep ya guard up,
                                                                                       Bernie.
