Thanks Roscoe, now all I have to do is reprogramme the brain.   It's the Irish in me.  That's why they only allow us half an hour for lunch, any longer and we have to be retrained.

Wish me the luck of the Irish.

G'day Ric and Roscoe

I thought I would improve the speed and update from dial-up to broadband.
Telstra sent me the kit to update complete with direction CD and expected me to set it all up myself. HA HA HA.  Mate, I have trouble setting my watch or the old VCR.  Such a dummy that I attract babies.
Had to call on a good mate with spectacular grey matter for assistance.  Still no joy after many attempts and phone calls to Broadband techs.  My last effort and the whole bloody lot froze up.  Had to wait for a week till a computer man could get to me.  $100 later and I am now up and running, or should I say up and crawling.  Still have to get the brain into gear.
Wish me luck.

Yep, we know all about it Peter!  We've just been through exactly the same thing - took a whole day, and I mean literally the whole day - nothing else got done, just hours and hours on the phone.  In the end, we found the problem was the modem they sent us was faulty and overheated every 15 minutes.  We eventually convinced them what the problem was, and they sent a us a new one, everything is now hunky-dory!
