A while ago I made this poem for the monthly writing comp. It was just before the system went defunct. I thought I could rework it as a song. I recorded it playing around on my computer. Here it is:

No. I recorded it using Nero on XP and a mirophone. I have XP professional so it gives you a few engineering options that I evidently know very little about. You can manipulate the sound quality quite a bit with it if you know what you are doing; however, I don't really. Then I uploaded it to the Archive using the the free Creative Commons software. It was really a rushed job just testing out the system. I think it didn't turn out too bad.
G'day Dan,
Never used Nero and XP. If you plan on doing more of this, check Audacity out. It is a full blown sound engineering piece of software and it's free.

G'day Dan,
Firstly great job in putting your words to music and being able to record them and post them. This alone is an achievement. I was a bit disappointed to hear you slip into a yankee accent on occasion. One of the main reasons I love The Waifs is that they are unashamedly australian and sing with their natural accent. I hope you don't mind me making some suggestions. There is a spot in the song where you say 'music', if you use 'song' and another place 'sunlight' of you just use 'light', it would fit the music better. In any case It was a brillient way for me to start my day.
Thank you for sharing and I hope it has not been so long since you posted this that you don't look in.
